
Attorney Kenneth Mitchell, Jr. is an experienced trial lawyer and former prosecutor, who specializes in Criminal Defense and Civil Litigation. Attorney Mitchell has handled hundreds of criminal cases and the majority of these involved serious criminal allegations.
Prior to joining Giddens, Mitchell & Associates, P.C., Attorney Mitchell served as the Chief Assistant Solicitor General of Cobb County, where he was responsible for supervising all attorneys and managing the Office's prosecution of all DUI and misdemeanor cases in Cobb County. Attorney Mitchell has also served as Chief Senior Assistant District Attorney in Fulton County, where he represented the State of Georgia in a number of bench and jury trials; and gained experience prosecuting homicides, sex crimes, and violent felonies. In addition, Attorney Mitchell has served as a Business Litigation Associate and represented clients in pre-trial motions, depositions, mediations, and trials.
Currently, Attorney Mitchell serves as the President of the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the State Bar of Georgia, which consists of all 15,000 attorneys in the State of Georgia under the age of 36. As YLD President, he manages 29 committees that support the State Bar though organizing continuing legal education courses (CLE's), community service projects, and provide resources for all legal practice areas in the State of Georgia. He is also a member of the Atlanta Bar Association, Cobb County Bar Association, Gate City Bar Association, Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys, Georgetown University Club of Metropolitan Atlanta, and is a Life Member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
Attorney Mitchell is a native of Atlanta; and holds a B.A. and M.A. from Georgetown University and received his Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law.
